Notes: I bought a booklet entitled "64th Annual Report for the Year Ending Dec 31, 1938 of the Underwriters' Salvage Corps of St. Louis".
"We deeply regret recording the passing of Captain Thomas M. Gorman...an employee of the Corps in continuous service since March 6, 1896, for a period of 42 years."
From the notes in this booklet it appears that Captain Thomas M. Gorman had just retired on May 15, 1938 with Lt. Clement D. Kopp on pension at half pay.
It also say that Captain Gorman was buried on Monday, July 11 at Calvary Cemetery. He is buried with his wife Mary E. Woodlock? Gorman, David James Woodlock, James Woodlock, and Mary Woodlock.
I would like to connect this booklet with a family member or family researcher. Please contact me directly if you have an interest in it.
